This Week...


Students will learn that many Americans supported the war effort. France and Spain helped the Patriots fight the British. The winter of Valley Forge tested the strength of Patriot troops. The war continued at sea and in the West.

Writing Assignment due Friday 1/8/2010:

"You are a colonist in 1776. Write a letter to a friend still in England persuading him or her to accept the idea that America is justified in declaring its independence."
